Looking for things to do in Davis Square or Union Square?
We lived in Somerville, Massachusetts for many years, and there’s just such an amazing energy here. Definitely explore on your own, but here are some ideas to get you started.
Shop and eat in Union Square
Take a Somerville Food Tour
See some Live Music
Visit The Burren for a live show and meal: we’ve seen everything from japanese klezmer to neighborhood folk music at this awesome venue and irish pub. Also Warehouse XI and The Jungle have great live music!
Bike on a Bike Path
Rent a bike and bike down Minuteman Trail
Check out our award winning food and chocolate tours!
Go to Neighborhood Festivals
Thrift shop in Davis Square along Elm Street (and the Goodwill here isn’t bad either!)
Go to the Outlets
Try Some Cocktails
Have an Amazing Breakfast
Wait in line for breakfast at some of our favorite spots such as: Ball Square Cafe (we love their Pancake Delight and then after try the half moon at Lyndell’s) or The Neighborhood (try the cream of wheat!)
Go Brewery Hopping
Visit Aeronaut Brewery & one of our favorite small batch chocolate producers Somerville Chocolate which is so innovative (buy a bar or two from their vending machine outside their booth). You can also try Tasting Counter which is one of the best tasting menus in Boston.
There’s so much more to see and do in Somerville. Hope to meet you soon on a Somerville Food Tour. Our Davis Square Food Tours run weekly, and our Union Square Food Tours run Saturdays at 3pm. Book today via offthebeatenpathfoodtours.com
