Pon De Joy

This 2021 opened mochi donut shop offers an assortment of Asian inspired flavored donuts. It’s the first one to exist in Boston! Pon de Joy is neatly tucked away inside the Super88 food court. Their donuts are uniquely shaped and have a chewier texture compared to regular donuts. Their flavors change every day, but our favorites are their black sesame and matcha oreo donuts.
Mala

If you haven’t been to Mala restaurant you are missing out! They are a hole in the wall joint serving authentic Sichuanese food in Boston. An amazing casual spot to visit with your date or friends for some shared plates. Their signature dish is their stir fried dry hot pot dish that you can make with your own selection of assorted veggies and meats. Everything is tossed with their mala spice which is a flavorful numbing spice.
Shop At Super88 Market

Have you visited the Super88 supermarket? You may have seen the big Super88 sign and the food stalls when you enter, but did you know there is an Asian supermarket in the back? You can buy a large variety of fun Asian snacks and fresh Asian vegetables there. Craving napa or enoki mushrooms? You’ll find them there. Any type of ramen, frozen dumplings, scallion pancakes, and Super88 will have them.
Kimchipapi Corn Dogs

You may have had a beef corn dog, but have you had one filled with cheese? A cheese pull from a Korean corn dog can stretch the entirety of your arm’s length. Kimchipapi sells an assortment of corn dogs. Our favorite is the traditional mozzarella filled corn dogs. Take a big bite into the crunchy exterior and then pull away and see how far you can pull before the cheese breaks. An amazing afternoon snack.

Although their hot chicken is definitely the star of the show, don’t let their fried Oreos slip by. A big hidden gem in Allston.

And if you’re looking for something to do with your friends after all that food. Stage karaoke is a fun spot to hang out post-dinner.
