Best Tiki Bars in Boston and Cambridge

1

Shojo (Cambridge, MA)

It is Tuesday yet? Join us on our Central Square Food Tour for a cool look at the murals in this business improvement district. While you’re at it, you can visit three amazing restaurants with us including Shojo which has more of a vietnamese food bent in Central Square. They also have delicious bao and yummy cocktails. Book your tour today!

2

Kowloon (Saugus, MA)

Okay so maybe it’s a drive from Boston city proper, but we’ve been enjoying Kowloon since the 80’s when we were kids and had our first pupu platter and poured packets of sugar into the little porcelain tea cups. It’s so much fun, even without high end cocktails or food. The bartenders are super friendly, and you’ll want to soak up the atmosphere and grab some merch while it’s still here!

3

Shore Leave (Boston, MA)

We totally posted about Shore Leave in our best omakase in Boston round-up, and we stand by our recommendation there! If you tell the bartenders you’re into tiki, they may even bring out special drinkware and rum tastings. We love the food here, and they often have special events like a drag brunch. They’re calling themselves more of a tropical bar.

4

Baldwin Bar (Woburn, MA)

Okay maybe it’s not truly tiki, but this unique bar has creative drinks including yummy mocktails. It’s only about 20 minutes outside of the city in nearby Woburn. They also own Birds of Paradise which is in Brighton, MA – they have a walk-in waitlist you can join online.

5

Stoked Pizza (Harvard Square, Cambridge)

Weirdly this pizza place’s Cambridge location has really good tiki drinks. The one in Brookline doesn’t have it. The best tiki bars in Boston are clearly hidden! Afterwards or beforehand, try our Harvard Square Chocolate Tour or Donut Tour!

6

Banyan Bar (South End, Boston)

One of our favorite places in the world is next door, The Calderwood for theater, but this Asian fusion spot in the South End hits the spot and is tiki-esque. They have a delicious scorpion bowl (which we also love at the Hong Kong in Harvard Square.)

It’s tiki-o-clock somewhere!
