We are so excited to present our new Lowell MA Food Tour, a downtown cultural canalways tour which is first in the series of two that we are developing in the city. For the last decade or so, we have been exploring Lowell every chance we’ve gotten. The city has actually changed remarkably in that time. A bunch of new food concepts have also developed in the city, and it’s become a really beautiful downtown area with romantic canalways surrounding the old brick and granite buildings, iconic buildings like City Hall and the Sun building, and wide cobblestone streets. There’s a bit of industrial feel almost like Providence, Rhode Island, and lots of museums and cultural destinations to explore.
A few months ago, we shared Life as a Maven’s top 10 places to visit in Lowell. Well we’re excited to share that Timna from Life as a Maven herself will be available to be one of our Lowell tour guides. How lucky are we to be able to share Lowell with guests through the eyes of a true local who is full of great recommendations and stories. Timna and our other Lowell guides will take you through the history of Lowell through modern times including what’s happening now in this diverse and energetic city. From the birthplace of Jack Kerouac to the history of the mills to University of Massachusetts in Lowell to the LUNA Theater, there’s a lot to explore and see.
So dust off whatever you thought you knew about Lowell and come ready to see it with eyes anew. There’s a lot to LOVE about Lowell, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
The Lowell Downtown Cultural Canalways Food Tour is available on Saturdays from 11:30am-2:30pm. Book today via our website.
