Cambodian Food – Lowell, MA

Our Lowell Food Tour has a lot of interesting, diverse eats. But most of the Cambodian eateries there are not on the main walking path so it’s more difficult for us to visit them on our food tour.

Portuguese Food – New Bedford, MA and Fall River, MA

There are a variety of portuguese restaurants in the city, but also if you take a short road trip to New Bedford and Fall River, you may enjoy delicious Portuguese eats, with a focus as well on the Azores. Some spots to check out include: Antonio’s, The End Zone, Mello’s, Sagre’s.

Cape Verdean Food – Dorchester, MA and Brockton, MA

We haven’t really had Cape Verdean food elsewhere, and there are some delicious spots here in the Boston area. Check out Cesaria in Dorchester and Preto’s in Brockton, MA.

Afghani Food – Cambridge Area

One of our favorite restaurants that we constantly recommend is the Helmand right in Kendall Square. There’s also a second restaurant in Watertown that we frequent called Ariana that serves similar food. Our favorite dish is the kaddo sweet pumpkin appetizer with their delicious bread and their lamb rice pallow.

Uyghur Food – Cambridge Area

Right near East Cambridge, you’ll find Silk Road which serves delicious Uyghur cuisine from Central Asia. The restaurant Jahunger which started in Providence has also moved to Cambridgeport, so there’s some delicious eats to check out.

Salvadoran Food – Somerville, MA

Did you know that some of our favorite “Mexican” food like El Potro in Union Square, Somerville are actually Salvadoran, which is the origin. One way to tell is if they also serve pupusas on their menu. We visit delicious spots on our Somerville Food Tour!

Russian Food – Newton, MA area

There are a variety of russian bazaars and markets in Brookline, Brighton, and Newton areas. One of our favorites is Cafe St. Petersburg and also the restaurant Moldova in Newton.

Armenian Food – Watertown, MA and Belmont, MA

The Armenian markets in Watertown, MA are not to be missed – try everything from the zaatar to the olives to the dried fruit and nuts. In nearby Belmont stop into Eastern Lahmejun Bakers for more grocery items and some fresh eats like turnovers.

Nepalese Food – Somerville, MA

There are lots of tasty momo spots in Somerville including Himalayan Kitchen in Union Square, Somerville which we visit on our Union Square Somerville Food Tour on Saturdays. Other spots for momos include Comfort Kitchen in Dorchester and Chulo in Watertown. They’re like little savory dumplings. Try it on our Union Square Somerville Food Tour.

Israeli Food – Brookline, MA

One of our favorite Middle Eastern cuisines is Israeli, and Boston actually has delicious Israeli eats. Our favorites include Rami’s for falafel on Harvard Street in Brookline, Cafe Landwer for chicken schnitzel and multi-part breakfasts, and Tatte for Israeli-style pastries.

Vietnamese Food – East Boston and Dorchester, MA

Here’s a list of our favorite Vietnamese food in Boston. Of course it features the Bahn Mi but there’s plenty of other courses!

Other food that Boston is known for includes: seafood, American-style Chinese Food, thin crust pizza, and North Shore roast beef subs. Check out our food tour to try all kinds of delicious eats.
