Mill No. 5 in Lowell, Massachusetts is a unique collection of shops within a revitalized historic textile mill. Located just outside of Boston, join us on this exciting indoor specialty food tour where we’ll hear about the history of the Mill which took over a decade to bring to life.


Each store in the Mill is a unique independent shop full of quirky and fun items. You’ll have a blast while we explore the Mill and take in everything it has to offer. You will start the afternoon with a mini cooking class taught by a chef who has a lot of tips to share. Then you will continue your sweet afternoon tour learning about everything from herbal pharmacy vinegars and tinctures to a yummy pastry and cheese sampling to sampling the original milkshake recipes that were created by Gustavus Dows who started the first soda fountain in Lowell in 1863. There are a lot of surprises to uncover during this fun afternoon adventure!

Well-behaved dogs are allowed on the tour.

DAIRY-FREE, GLUTEN-FREE, and VEGAN diets cannot be accommodated on this tour. 

 VEGETARIAN diets can be accommodated on this tour.

Note: this tour only runs on Sundays from November through March.
