Best Gelato in Boston and Cambridge
Amorino (Harvard Square, Cambridge)
Do you like supporting female entrepreneurs? Well, we do too! Franchise owner Lea fell in love with this gelato and also with Boston years ago, so she worked hard to bring Amorino to Boston. We are thankful she did and tell her story and interesting details about the Harvard Square location on our Harvard Square Chocolate Tour. You’ll also taste a vegan chocolate gelato which is hard to find.

Delini (West Roxbury, Boston, MA)
This off the beaten path spot makes their homemade gelato from scratch using the best ingredients. Have you ever been to West Roxbury? They have some of our favorite spots including Sugar which is a can’t miss. Owner Viki took the winter off to study pastry making in Paris, and she came back invigorated to perfecting her art. You MUST try it! Learn more about our favorite restaurants on our award-winning food tours of Boston.
Florenza Cafe (East Boston, MA)
Well, we told ya so – at least our top things to do in East Boston post did! Take a harbor stroll or the ferry over to Eastie and enjoy the yummy gelato. While you’re at it, grab a slice!
Pizzeria Rustico (North End, Boston, MA)
A stone’s throw from the North End is a pizzeria with delicious gelato – it’s imported straight from Italy just like all of their other ingredients. But your favorite flavor may not be available as they continually rotate them.

Beacon Hill Chocolates (Boston, MA)
I can’t figure out where they make their local “artisan” gelato and forgot to ask, but I feel like where better to enjoy some gelato than in Beacon Hill which is probably the most European-feeling part of Boston. Anyways, we are also huge chocolate lovers and owner Paula has sourced some of the most incredible chocolates in her beautiful shop.
Dragon Pizza (Davis Square, Somerville, MA)
We are definitely all about Somerville, with our Original Union Square Somerville Food Tour! Did you know that Dragon Pizza in Davis has homemade gelato? Try their fresh mint chip or dark chocolate — or a rotating new flavor.

Eataly (Boston, MA)
We were hesitant to include a chain like Eataly on this list, but then we found out that they use local High Lawn Farm milk which is from Western, Massachusetts in their gelato so we changed our mind. It’s cool that it’s not imported from Italy because local milk is the best.
And of course, don’t forget our favorite ice cream in Boston list too. WOo! Or should I say, Moooo!
